On the 1 st of July 1965, His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed AI Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, decreed a law to establish "Dubai Chamber of Commerce" which was later called "Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry".
The establishment of the Chamber was one of the steps undertaken in the framework of executing infrastructure projects aiming at consolidating Dubai s position as a regional trade centre in the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East.
Dubai Chamber is entrusted to organise the trade, industrial and agricultural interests, as well as the services relevant to them in the Emirate of Dubai, to protect those interests and to make efforts aiming at their progress and prosperity.
Dubai Chamber escorted the Emirate on the path of progress in the modern era and it derived its own development from that of the Emirate. At present, the Chamber s membership has surpassed 17 thousand. It is worth mentioning that the Chamber is a member of national, regional, Arab and international business organisations.
