Dubai Tour

Under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of Dubai Sport Council, the ‘Dubai Tour’ professional cycling race took place from 3rd to 6th February 2016. Dubai Tour is the biggest amateur cycling event in the region, and has the highest rating in Asia.

A total of 128 international riders belonging to 16 professional teams from various parts of the world, including two teams from the United Arab Emirates, took part in the competition. During the four stages, the best teams and the best riders offered the world an amazing competition and a magnificent showcase of Dubai.

The route passed through different areas of old Dubai and modern touristic points and elegant residential areas, in addition to scenic areas such as Hatta. Smooth flow of traffic was maintained on the main roads so as not to disturb normal life in Dubai.
