Jakarta 2024

The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) proudly participated in the Jakarta 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition held from 3 - 7 July 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The exhibitors from 26 countries from Asia and Australasia participated in the exhibition. 

Representing the UAE Embassy in Jakarta, Mr. Matar Ali Fadel Al Mansouri, Chancellor, attended the exhibition's opening ceremony on behalf of His Excellency Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia.  

EPA participants in the exhibition won several medals for their entries. Mr Nasser bin Ahmad Alserkal won two large vermeil medals for his exhibits “Sharjah Postal History” and “Dubai Stamps”. Mr. Adil Al Khoori won a large vermeil medal for his postcard exhibit “Cats Portrayed as Human”. Mr. Adam Hafez won large vermeil medals for his exhibits “French Post Office in Alexandria from 1838 to 1878” and a vermeil medal for “Ancient Egypt History and Civilization’. Mr. Fuad Shirazi won a silver medal for his exhibit “Persepolis and Shiraz - Two Capitals of Fars Province of Iran”. Mr. Roshan Prasad won a Silver Bronze medal for his literature exhibit “The Stamp Chronicles – A Journey Through Philately”. 

Mr. Omar Mohammad Ahmad served as National Commissioner, with Mr. Adel Alkhoori as Assistant Commissioner, and Mr. Javaid Muhammad was invited as Jury member, all representing the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Ali Hassan Al Mulla and Mr. Ali Abdulrhman also attended the exhibition as part of the UAE delegation.
