The archaeological evidences in Fujairah, indicate that: This emirate has been inhabited since the 3rd Millennium B.C., at least. The excavations of the local archaeologists at Qidfa village, in 1986, was the most successful. The discoveries made by excavators could be considered as a treasure and result in the foundation of this museum. The museum contains two main sections: Archaeology and Ethnography. * An Amphora from the long chambered tomb of " Bithna ". * Bronze vessel from the long burial at " Bidya" *A solid bronze anklet, discovered inside the tomb "1 " at " Qidfa" * A finger ring, made of bronze. Discovered inside" Dibba " tomb. The General Postal Authority is pleased to issue a set of four stamps featuring the artefacts discovered at Fujairah to emphasize the importance of the ancient cultures and the archaeological discoveries.
