The Arab States League was established on the 22nd of March 1945 when the representatives of seven independent Arab States signed its charter. This charter is the basic statute consisting of 20 Articles dealing with the objectives of the league and priorities of the Arab joint action.

The Arab States League has succeeded in achieving several accomplishments during its course of action in the political, economical, cultural, social and security spheres as well as science, administration and technology, in addition to the exploration of new horizons and strengthening the global political relations of the Arab homeland.
