FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF GULF INVESTMENT CORPORATION

The logo of Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) is consisting of six Arabic letters (t) which represent the six states of the Gulf Cooperation Council namely, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates. These six member states established and took equal equity shares in the Gulf Investment Corporation the first financial institution to be set up under GCC auspices, concerned to broaden their economic base and diversify their sources of income and to encourage more private sector investment in productive industry.

The map with the logo illustrates the Area of the six countries of the cooperation Council. The Corporation's policy is to concentrate on commercially viable direct investment opportunities in the Gulf states.
