The well-known scholar, Mohammed Bin Saeed Bin Ghubash, was born in 1899 in Al Muaireedh area of Ras Al Khaimah. He was the eldest among his brothers and sisters.
After completing his first traditional school which was called "Al Mutawa", he joined the school of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Al Rajbani Al Najdi, the judge of Ras Al Khimah at the that time.
In 1917, Bin ghubash traveled to Qatar and studied at Al Atheereia School which was established by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Al Thani-Ruler of Qatar at Al Hisn.
After returning from Qatar in 1921, Bin Ghubash studied under the guidance of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Faresi, the judge of Ras Al Khaimah at that time.
Bin Ghubash was always eager to acquire knowledge. In 1927, he left Ras Al Khimah to go to Egypt by sea. There he joined Al Azhar Mosque before it had university colleges. In addition to his studies at Al Azhar, Bin Ghubash also studied at Sheikh Abi Taleb Al Hanbali, the teacher at Barqooq Mosque.
Bin Ghubash has held the position of judge in Ras Al Khimah and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also taught in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and was entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring foreign religious books entering into Qatar.
Bin Ghubash had a passion for writing, along with fondness for research and knowledge. As a result, he wrote a number of manuscripts and books which marked the beginning of Emarati literature.
Bin Ghubash passed away in 1969 after a traffic accident.
