Liwa Date Festival

The Liwa Date Festival (locally known as Mazayinet al Ratab) is annual festival that aspires for nation-wide recognition. Its aim is to spread awareness amongst citizens and expatriates about the value, role and types of dates. It also aspires to become one of Abu Dhabi's distinguished heritage events and tourist attractions. By encouraging competition, the festival seeks to improve the quality of UAE dates and to make them more competitive globally.
