IDEX 97 The International Defence Exhibition and Conference -opens in Abu Dhabi, capital of the U.A.E. This exhibition is organized every two years by Military Committee of International Defence -CODEX. And though only was organized in 1993, IDEX '97 is set to firmly establish itself as the world's largest defence show.   

Highlights of IDEX 97  

The exnibition is distinguished by an anticipated attendance of over 700 exhibitors from more than 45 countries, in addition to attendance of many official delegations from more than 65 countries.   

.Exhibitors range from major international companies selling ships, missiles and tanks through to smaller independent companies selling such items as combat gear or camouflage paint, and other companies specialized in research and technology.   

IDEX '97 is unique in its massive exhibition site which will be more than 500,000 sq.m. for displaying live firing by missiles and artillery.   

Marine demonstrations will take place in the specially deepened channel adjacent to the show site. 

The International Military Conference MILCON '97 will be held in a custom built conference hall with 800 seats.   

The exhibition will also include an "International Business Village" which will offer exhibitors, visitors, both local and International bank representatives the chance to discuss investment projects.
