The United Arab Emirates celebrates the international White Cane Day, which falls on 15 October of each year, to raise awareness of visually impaired people and services offered to ensure the safety of the Blind in public places.
The issuing of stamps in Braille seeks to highlight the capabilities of visually impaired people as well as the need for their integration into mainstream society, through closer interaction with normal students in schools and colleges. The blind are among the easiest disabilities to be integrated into society because they do not suffer from mental problems.
