The Flag of United Arab Emirates was adopted on December 2, 1971, The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God have mercy on him) raised it on the same day, declaring it the flag of the state of the United Arab Emirates, as a sovereign independent State.

The national flag’s colors are red, green, white and black which symbolize Arab unity and its height is half of his width. At the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, a national comprehensive campaign will be conducted to celebrate Flag Day to mark the anniversary of H. H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan (may God have mercy on him), taking charge as the President of state, through a number of programs of hoisting the national flag by the people all the emirates.
