Exhibitions are considered main tool to promote philately being a platform for all pillars of the hobby from philatelists, dealers, postal administrations, auction houses and accessories suppliers under one roof. From this point it was mutual understanding between Emirates Philatelic Association and the Mega Mall Sharjah to organize stamps exhibitions, which will gather all stamps lovers periodically. 

The first edition of the Sharjah stamps exhibition was held in 2010 by hosting 10 best International Arabian exhibits, followed by the second edition in 2011 to host the top ten exhibits from Arab exhibitors internationally, by the time the next edition was ready to have the Asian International Stamp exhibition in 2012.
