After 10 years of the establishment of General Postal Authority under the Federal Decree No.4 of 1985, a quick review of the achievements made during these years, could clearly recognise the volume of the improvements and developments achieved in the postal services all over the U.A.E.
Since the establishment of tile General Postal Authority, it has been striving for the improvement and expansion of the postal services by introducing new services in order to achieve the following aims:
-Introducing the postal services to all urban and rural areas of the country.
-Providing private post boxes to all the commercial establishments and one post box to every two houses.
-Delivery of ordinary local mail through out the U.A.E. in the next day of posting.
-Increase the efficiency of the Mumtaz Post and other private services.
-Introducing the financial services within the postal services.
-Introducing the postal machinery whenever needed.
General Postal Authority cared to provide the best services to the public by using its wide scope of capabilities and concentrated on the plans required to Improve the postal services, and to Increase the range of the areas which could be utilized all over the country and develop these services to the maximum levels.
