Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emirates Philatelic Association with co-operation of Dragon Mart 2 hold "Stamp Exhibition EPAEX 2019 – Dubai” to celebrate “Year of Tolerance” and to promote every aspect of philately in the region. The Exhibition was held from 5-9 March 2019 at Dragon Mart 2, Dubai.

The exhibition was inaugurated by H. E. Mohammed Ahmad Almurr in the presence of H.E. Deyad Al Rashidi the Consulate General of Kuwait in Dubai, H.E. Bilal Al Budoor Chairman of the Cultural & Scientific Association, Mr. Bernard Beston (FIP President), Mr. Abdulla Khoory (EPA President), Mr. Sultan Midfah senior Executive of Emirates Post Group, Mr. Rashid Al Hormoudi, Director of Warsan Market representing Nakheel, Mr. Abdulla bin Jasim Al Mutairi Honorary President of EPAEX 2019 and prominent exhibitors from the GCC.

49 exhibitors with 120 frames from GCC countries, Australia and Iraq participated in the exhibition, 30 booths were allotted to postal administrations and dealers.

Mr. Bernard Beston (Australia) was Jury president, Mr. Khalid Ali Omaira (UAE) Vice president, Mr. Muhammad Javaid (UAE) Jury Secretary, Mr. David Figg (Australia), Mr. Fuad Shirazi (Bahrain), Mr. Omar Mohammad Ahmad (UAE) served as Jury members and Mubarak Al Kahtani (Saudi Arabia) served as apprentice jury for the exhibition.

The exhibits were judged as per international standards and the Jury awarded 2 Gold, 3 Large Vermeil and 8 Vermeil medals, while other exhibits received from Large Silver to Bronze medals, many new exhibitors participated first time.

Philatelic lecture on “Exhibit Title Page” was delivered by Mr. Bernard Beston and Mr David Figg delivered a seminar on “Picture Post Card”. Children activities and philatelic & numismatic auction attracted number of visitors.

The palmares party was held on 8th March 2019 in which medals to commissioners, jurors, organizers and volunteers were distributed.
