The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) participated in the "CHINA 2019" World Stamp Exhibition held in Wuhan, China from 11-17 June 2019. The exhibitors from 86 countries participated in the show.
EPA participants in exhibition won a number of laurels for their entries.
Mr. Ahmad bin Eisa Alserkal won two Large Vermeil medals for his exhibits "Abu Dhabi Stamps 1963-1973", and “Postal History Study of Airmail from Iraq 1919-1945”. Mr. Khalid Ali Al Omaira won Large Vermeil medals for “Dubai from Branch to Sub Post Office 1909-1947”. Mr. Thomas Johansen won Large Vermeil medal for "Development of Postal Services in the Gulf during the British Postal Administration: 1948-1966". Mr. Shafiq Awan won Large Vermeil medal for "Postal Markings of Great Britain".
Mr. Nasser Bin Ahmad Al Serkal won Large Silver medal for "Dubai Stamps". Mr. Ummer Farook won Silver medal for “Mahatama Gandhi”. In youth class exhibits Adithya Sarma awarded certificate of participation for her exhibit "Conserve Wild Life".
Mr Omar Mohammad Ahmad was National Commissioner. Mr. Abdulla Khoory - EPA President was invited as Jury from the UAE and he was awarded Jury Fellowship of the Federation Internationale de Philatelie.
