Organized by the Military Committee for International Defence Exhibitions CODEX, the Triple International Defence Exhibition TRIDEX series debuts in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates with TRIDEX 98. This specialized exhibition is held every two years in alternating years with the world renowned International Defence Exhibition IDEX, also organized by CODEX. TRIDEX is a specialized event that focuses on the fastest-growing fields within the defence and defence-related industries, namely electronic warfare, communications, training, simulation, logistics and security. 

1. The exhibition is distinguished by being the first show in the world to focus on these specializations. These particular fields witness exceptionally fast development and growth, and therefore require an event which caters exclusively to their products and services.
2. Exhibitors number more than 200 of the world's biggest companies involved in the show's specialties, coming from over 20 countries, alongside numerous local businesses and authorities, including the Abu Dhabi Aviation Authority and the Saadiyat Free Trade Zone. Aside from the large numbers of trade and professional visitors, the show will be visited by more than 50 official delegations.
3. TRIDEX 98 will cover an area of 25,000 sq. m. at the new hall of the Abu Dhabi International Exhibitions Centre. The new hall, considered the most advanced and comprehen- sive of its kind in the Middle East, can house over 500 exhibition booths, and includes an 800 -seat conference hall that is fully equipped with the latest state-of-the-art audio-visual presentation equipment and communications facilities.
4. This hall will house the show's accompanying conference, TRICON 98. This dedicated forum caters to military and civilian specialists and addresses the latest strategies and developments in the fields of interest to the show.
